ELEPHAS STRATEGY
IDENTITY | PRINT | WEB
A logo design and extended brand book for a Seattle-based consultancy delivering on brand strategy, customer experience, and product marketing using data-driven insights.
LOGO
The mark for Elephas Strategy reads as both a lowercase letter e and an icon representing an elephant’s head—at first glance, it reads as a stylized lowercase letter e with a calligraphic swash to humanize the form and add a sense of motion and directionality.

MONOGRAM
The mark also reads as the representation of an elephant’s head. The swash hints at tusks, and the tail of the e makes up the trunk.

BRAND BOOK
An extended brand book—including a section dedicated to data visualization within the Elephas Strategy brand—ensured the logo, color, type, and photography would all be used consistently across collateral.

COLOR
The brand’s color palette was curated to reflect the owner’s multi-faceted personality: deep iris blue for her smarts and professionalism, a red-hot red for her fierce determination, and a glitzy pink for her fun-loving soft side.

DATA VISUALIZATION
Data visualization was one of the brand’s core needs—big, bold, bossy charts and diagrams showcase the utility and beauty of the palette, making data legible and colorful, while communicating a sense of expertise and authority.

&
NUMERALS
Straightforward, timeless geometry, bright floods of color, and clear-cut typography demand your attention and bring the company’s strategic insights front and center. The catch? All chart styling also had to be easily replicated using PowerPoint’s built-in chart creation capabilities.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Art direction for photography was rooted in an orthographic style—subjects shot in profile, straight-on, or from overhead. This look is easy for a client with limited design experience to select for or reproduce, and ensures photography chosen will have at least one visual through-line across collateral, even if there happens to be some inconsistencies across other elements, like lighting or grades.

DUOTONES
Duotone treatments in two of the Elephas Strategy brand colors were reserved for photography that functioned more as illustration, abstraction, or background, such as for audience personas—another common output for the client—as shown below.
